Paul was wonderful, you can tell he enjoys what he does. He was cheerful and very insightful. A great sense of humor. The busses were not over crowded the trip was broken up into nice manageable chunks of time. Overall very happy I got to partake on this tour!
12 hours appeared to be a long time stuck in a little bus, but, it was anything but boring or tiresome. Chloe was our guide, driver, tea maker and little pearl of wisdom. Fantastic and funny explanations with hints along with great suggestions of the best places to view the sights from. If Chloe suggests something then you just know it is worth the try, even down to the best pie and ice cream. The day itself was marred by a little low cloud and some mist at the 12 Apostles but it did not detract from the great views, the weather stayed dry until the drive back to Melbourne. Plenty of stops with photo opportunities are on the trip so always have the camera ready. Be prepared for some steps down to a couple of beaches but worth the trouble especially at Gibson steps, Shipwreck Cove is worth the walk. The hunt was on for a Koala, which is not a bear, was taken on by all and when one was spotted the cameras were well used. Very highly recommend Bunyip tours and if Chloe is your guide and driver then you know you will be in for the best day out.
Very scenic trip and Mike C did a great job providing us with interesting information and stopping to see adventures as we encountered them. Loved seeing the Koalas! We had a great tour group and bus was very comfortable. Thank you Mike C. for making the the trip wonderful!
We used a company called Autotopia and had the privilege of a wonderful driver named Tara. Aside from the 90 minutes it took to get out of Melbourne - talk about sprawl, the trip was great. We were on the road together for twelve hours, and packed more into that than one can imagine. The roiling Bass Strait, the beautiful temperate rain forest, complete with beech trees, koalas and king parrots, the great vibe of the seaside Apollo Bay, the wonderful stories of how & why each area got its colourful name, and of course the Apostles - a sight to behold. Oh, and did I mention the chocolatieri? Gourmet chocolate & ice cream! If you only have a day to see the Great Ocean Road, do this trip. You don’t even have to get up at the crack of dawn to do it. And ask for Tara to be your driver. You will have a blast.
Great trip with heaps of good information and photo opportunities provided by Mike C. Really enjoyed the Loch Ard. Loved Koalas in the wild, Mike even spotted an Echidna. Tour group very friendly. All appreciated Mike taking our photos.
We were able to see all the spots we wanted to see! We saw 4 koalas along the way and stopped to take photos. Mike, our tour guide, made sure we covered everything and gave concise and interesting information for each spot. He also knows when to take a break and let us rest! The seats in the van were comfortable too!
This tour was amazing and everything you could ever wish for! Nice views and a lot of new places. Our guide, Adrian, did this tour even better because of his amazing stories and how happy he was all the time! He made this tour 10 times better. We all had a good time in the bus and that was all thanks to Adrian!
