Stop At: Daintree River, Queensland, Australia

Travel along the Daintree River and learn all about the river, general area and hopefully spot some wildlife like crocodiles snakes and birds

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Mossman Gorge, Daintree National Park, Queensland 4873 Australia

After having afternoon tea in the cafe, we head into the gorge where we will conduct an interpretive walk explaining all about the rainforest. Also have time for a swim in this stunning clear rainforest river.

We will pick you up from the front of your accommodation.
Please note, we do not pick up from Cairns, only Port Douglas and surrounds. However, you are most welcome to drive up to Port Douglas and meet us there.

Chris was just great. Knowledgeable and looked out for everyone in the group. We had a unique tour experiencing special spots shared through local expertise. Great food and great memories. Thank you Chris and Grant!

Well worth the trip. Our tour guide, Kim was a local who was very informative and experienced. Swimming at the falls amongst the fish and turtles was pretty cool. Had an enjoyable afternoon.

Highly recommended this tour! Mike our tour guide collected us from our accommodation and headed to Mossman. This place is truly beautiful!! The swim in the crystal clear water was the highlight for me! So refreshing. Mike was very informative and knows a lot of history about the area. Next was the river tour, this was enjoyable, seeing the wildlife (and a few crazy locals). At the end of the day, Mike dropped us off at our accommodation. Highly recommend this tour! Well worth it.

Peer was fantastic knew all about the history and made all very comfortable. Fantastic half day tour. Recommended for anyone that enjoys nature. Would definitely do it again when we return

Excellent morning out. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone except young kids. We drove from Port Douglas to Daintree Village where we hopped on a river boat and went up and down the river looking for Crocs and other wild life. We were not disappointed as we saw several crocodiles including the cutest small crocodile that someone eyed sitting on a branch - truly a great moment until it plopped off in to the river. Then we had morning tea at the Croc Xpress cafe where we had lemonade scones, jam and cream of which were to literally die for. I was soooo glad there was a lot to go round as I ended up having a fair few :) After morning tea we jumped back in the van and went up the Upper Daintree Road to a farm where we all jumped out and traded the van for an open top safari jeep. Woooohooooooo, it was awesome. We went to Cassowary Falls where noone in our crowd but me wanted to go in the river. Others soon changed their minds when they saw how much fun I was having with the very friendly fish plus the water was suprisingly quite pleasant. After a swim, it was time to feed the turtles. OMG, you HAVE to do this trip! Soooo many turtles and all climbing all over each other and near to you. You will not be disappointed! Midge

Driver/guide Grant gave us a great day. Very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a good experience. Daintree river croc sightings and the magnificent Mossman Gorge just epitomise this beautiful area of Far North Queensland.

The views from the river were amazing & was awesome to see some crocs in their natural habitat. Mossman Gorge was also amazing, very refreshing swim! The tour itself was well worth it, with very friendly staff.

Perfect for our group which included my hubby, my teenage son and his friend and my dear friend! A great mix of activities! We really enjoyed the crocodile sightings on the boat, afternoon tea hit the spot and we welcomed the fresh but scenic dip in the Mossman Gorge. Our tour guide, Chris was very informative, friendly and really looked after us. I highly recommend this tour if want a taste of the Daintree and Mossman Gorge!
