Explore the pristine waterways of the Pumicestone Passage. If it is your first time paddling or you're a beginner, let the staff know and they can teach you some easy to understand techniques to have you paddling in no time. Choose to stay close to the business, explore secluded sandbars, go for a walk on the island, go for a long exercise paddle or any combination of the above.

All hires are subject to the weather conditions and the abilities of the paddlers. In winds over 15 knots all hires are cancelled.

We came unprepared, but it wasn’t a problem, we were lent a dry bag and waterproof watch free of charge. Friendly service, informative, helpful. Suggested other places to visit in the area. Gave great instruction before we set off and even stayed to check we reached the island. Cant recommend enough!

A wonderful experience exploring the pumice stone passage and Bribie Island. We were offered great instruction and advice regarding navigation and tidal flows to best navigate the passage. Thanks Guys 😊

Great, friendly service. Great condition boards and a good brief of where to go when you get out on the ocean. Would definitely recommend.

The service was excellent, I booked a week ahead by accident and it wasn’t an issue. We all got to do the standard up paddle boarding and had a fantastic time. The team at Golden Beach Hire were friendly and very helpful

By far the best activity to do on the Sunshine Coast! Had an amazing morning on the water stand up paddle boarding! Carl was very helpful and allowed us the flexibility to explore the Pumicestone passage at our own leisure while giving advice on the best places to go for the most enjoyable experience. Cannot recommend golden beach hire enough! very affordable, great service and easy to access.

I had a one hour paddleboard lesson and even though I fear the water and falling off the bored, I felt supported and encouraged the whole time during my lesson. At one point I almost didn't go accross the passage but the trainer had patience and suggestions and we got the job done. The company is well experienced and knowledgeable and it was a fantastic experience. I'll kayak with them next because of the friendly service I received😊 I Definitly recommend then for beginners and children. Thank you so much for the support in trying new things. We need more patient and supportive teachers like Golden Beach Hire.

I hired a stand up paddle board for a couple of hours, Carl was supportive with his instruction, focus on safety, awareness with tides. Had a great time such a nice experience to paddle over to Bribie, perfect area to paddle. Thanks Carl I will definitely be back. Highly recommend, great customer service.

Best stand-up paddleboarding experience I've had to date. Excellent, excellent customer service from both Carl and Nicky, flexible, informative and helpful. Next time I go to Caloundra and SUP, I will go out of my way to use Golden Beach Hire. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Can not recommend this company enough! Not only do they offer great products and reasonable prices, but they also provide support regarding best times to go out in the water. (Often to their detriment - they have told me more than once not to come on a certain day because it’s bad weather. The fact they’re willing to give up a sale for good service is extremely impressive to me). Carl (one of the owners) also went (extremely) out of his way today to help me And I am extremely grateful for all of his help. Will definitely rent equipment from them again. 😊

A few friends and I went down to Golden beach for some kayaking and paddle boarding. It was a super fun experience and Carl and Nicky were very accommodating and friendly, giving us advice, making sure we were safe and giving us tips on paddle boarding and kayaking as well as the best route towards Bribie Island. The area was perfect to paddle in, with calm waters and a beautiful location. We went over to north bribie island and had a great time on the beach. Their equipment was well-maintained, with excellent rates and they even let us borrow drybags and hats for the hire. I highly recommend them and will definitely be heading back the next time I'm in the area.
