Stop At: Field of Light, Ayers Rock, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory Australia

â€¢ Depart the resort in total darkness for the short drive to Bruce Munroâ€™s renowned Field of Light installation
â€¢ Take it all in from a private dune-top as your host provides details of the artist and his incredible undertaking
â€¢ Wander through the paths surrounding the 50,000 hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white
â€¢ Why not find a quiet corner, covered under a blanket of stars, to immerse yourself in the silence?
â€¢ Return to the dune-top, where you'll be served a warming tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Watch as the dawn creeps across the desert plain and lights up Uluru â€“ donâ€™t forget to look out for Kata Tjuta behind you!

Return to the resort in time for breakfast, all flight transfers or further activities.

Please dress for all weather conditions, the outback can be quite cold prior to the sunrise

Guests that require a wheelchair are welcome on our tours providing they are accompanied by an able-bodied companion and do not require special assistance from the supplier to embark and disembark the vehicle. Wheelchairs will be stored under the vehicle whilst in transit. If travelling with a wheelchair, you must contact the supplier at least 72hrs prior to departure to ensure your wheelchair can be accommodated.
Prams and strollers are not permitted at the Field of Light exhibition site.

This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers
Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
Gear/equipment sanitized between use
Transportation vehicles regularly sanitized
Guides required to regularly wash hands
Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays/wipes are available for guest distribution. Group sizes will be continuously reviewed to align with government recommended protocols.

DEPARTURE & RETURN

Traveler pickup is offered
Hotel pick-ups commence prior to the tour start time. Please refer to your voucher for your hotel pick-up time or call the operator. You will be collected from the hotel you have selected in the drop down list. If you wish to change your pick-up location, you must call the operator at least 24 hrs prior to travel. If your hotel does not appear on the dropdown list, the operator does not pick-up from your hotel. Please phone the operator to arrange an alternate pick-up time and location.

We were unlucky today with the sunrise, which may have added to the experience not living up to its full potential, however overall I feel like the money spent on this tour could have been put towards something more special. Like always, the AAT Kings staff/tour guides were amazing. Great tea/ coffee and chats. with them all. They made this tour. However, we did not find the field of lights as extravagant as they are made to look on the internet. Credit to the artist though for his work.

Gday we were picked up from our own accomadation real early 04.15 am. Such happy tour guides at this hour of the morning, which was lovely. Its only about a 10 mins drive once all punters have been picked up. Excellent commentary, / what to expect and what to do. BRING A TORCH with you. Surprisingly very hard to walk around.Pretty good view of it at start and walk around really worth it once you here about how its made. Dont expect brekky after. Its just a cuppa. The poor driver has to cart everything a fair distance. Just say thanks. she appreciates it. Well worth a look from a sceptic like myself.

The Field of Light was an impressive undertaking and something very different. Seeing the sun rise at Uluru was an iconic moment.

Loved it. However I think we got there too early. 70 minutes waiting for the sunrise was a bit too much as it was freezing. I think if you could arrive at maybe 520 would be a perfect time. Eddy was prob the best tour guide I’ve ever met. He made the tour

Went on sunrise tour. Was everything expected. Tour could possibly have handed out small cheap returnable torches for walking on pathway in dark .Apart from that, tour guides were great, courteous and helpful. Sunrise was brilliant to take in especially over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Great experience overall.

The field of lights was a memorable part of our trip. It was amazing. We had plenty of time to look at the lights, hear their history and wander about in it. If there was a downside - we felt there would have been ample time once the sun started coming up to get us back on the bus and get closer to Uluru for the sunrise.

A must do! Absolutely an amazing experience. The driver and guide were exceptional. The field of lights is an incredible display. Watching the sunrise is an experience I will never forget.

What a beautiful experience!! Jess, our tour guide, and Lisa, our driver, were phenomenal. We went out to the field and walked amongst the beautiful lights and stars, then enjoyed a hot cuppa while watching the sunrise next to Uluru atop a dune. Highly recommend and again, a big thanks to Jess and Lisa to making it so wonderful.

Spectacular and surreal. Thousands of lights in the desert proving a romantic and visually stunning experience. What an incredible imagination to create something like this!!
