What can I say an absolute fantastic experience!! Alex our tour driver/guide/chef was a mindful of knowledge, energy and has a wonderful zest for life. The tour itself is fulfilling and full of new experiences like sleeping under the stars in a swag bag for instance. Have fun and definitely have trainers as a minimum of footwear for all the walking.
We are truely thrilled about our trip in the desert that was hell good thanks also to our great tour guide Joe. We visited Uluru, Kata Tjuta Kings Canyon. Joe shared all his knowledge about wild life and the northen territory and was always helpful and thoughtful with the whole group. The food on the camp was alsio great. Five star tour, no question about that ! Julie & Jerome
Our guide Sarah was super cool, informative, and ran things really smoothly. Gnarly tattoo sleeve too. We also had a really cool (and cute) camping site host from Italy who cooked some real good food and setup a lovely moonlight dinner for us after our first day at Uluru. The hike at Kata Tjuta was even better than Uluru as we got a real hike in. I wishb we ended up doing the 2-night trip. Met a lot of interesting people from around the world, I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a more outdoorsy experience, even though the bus was a smaller, comfortable, and airconditioned ride.
We were so ready for this Camping Tour. Ayers Rock was amazing to explore. Sleeping under the stars by the fire was a new experience. This is what holiday is about. I call it a "Check " on my bucket list. And Sarah was a brilliant guide :-D
Sarah was a wonderful guide and is a asset to your company. We cannot even suggest anything to improve because we enjoyed every thing about the tour. I am glad you offered the 1.5 day Dingo tour since it fit our schedule. Worth every penny and your company was great to deal with.
A unique and rich experience that will have you falling in love with outback Australia. The small group size has a welcome and friendly feel. Overnight camping a pleasant surprise. Climate just right. Plenty of adventure I just loved it. Be sure to pack a weather proof hat for Aussie climate.
My sister and I went on this tour last week while in Australia and had a great time. Despite last minute changes to our pick-up location due to flight issues, the tour company was flexible and worked to accommodate us! Our tour guide, Alicia, was knowledgeable about the Anangu—we enjoyed learning about her connection to the Northern Territory and Australia's recent efforts to be more respectful of Aboriginal culture—as well as the ecology and geology of the region. The only downside to the tour was sharing space with those who couldn't care less about the Anangu's statement to visitors not to climb Uluru (thankfully that won't be an option next month) or signs indicating sacred sites with no photos taken. If we were to book another tour to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, we would instead look for one that requires the group to be mindful of whose land they are visiting and honor their rules.
We were so excited to go on this tour. Even though it was a little pricier than we had hoped, we were drawn to its descriptions of all the activities we would do in the 1.5-day tour, but as it turned out, many things they advertised online did not take place and our guide was awful. First, we were delayed almost an hour leaving the airport. One of the passengers' flight was delayed, and of course this is out of our guide's control, but there was no effort made by the company to make another transport arrangement so that the entire rest of the group does not just sit there either on the bus or in the hot sun waiting for the few who are delayed. We were never given a chance to go to the Culture Center. Our guide/driver had dropped one group off at the Culture Center before picking us up from the airport. After the flight delay, and being over an hour late with our program, he rushed back to pick up the group he had left at the Culture Center, and rushed us off to the next thing on the list of things he needed to do. He also got into an argument with a traveler who was upset that he sat there waiting for the bus to return and the bus was an hour late without any communication. Their website promised that we will hear about Aboriginal law and religion, but that did not happen on our trip either. Our "guide" barely spoke with anyone on the trip for the majority of our first day. He looked angry and pre-occupied with other things. When he did answer our questions about the aboriginal people, his response made us feel very uncomfortable. He would describe the aboriginals as not having enough mental capacity to live in the modern world. Our guide barely gave us any information until our hike on the 2nd day. When he did, he rushed through it as if he was reciting information from a book and wanted to get it done as quickly as possible. He showed no enthusiasm, and no desire to connect with the travelers. He threw things around at dinner and at the campground as if getting our camp and dinner ready were a big bother to him. He said goodbye to the group as quickly as possible after dinner and went off to be by himself and his phone by the edge of camp. He was terrible. We did not know before we joined the tour that our short 1.5-day tour was being combined with another group that was going on a 3-day tour. It made us feel very rushed and uncomfortable, not really being able to connect with the other travelers as they have started on a different note with a much longer trip to continue to build relationships and camaraderie. We cannot comprehend why they would combine different groups together and most importantly, why we were never informed about this before we signed up. We would NOT have joined if we had known beforehand that all their groups are mixed together to save space/time/ or money. In the description of inclusions, it claimed that a towel would be provided to each traveler. What we got was NOT a towel. It is barely a washcloth. Most of this trip was over advertised and it did not hold true. It was such a disappointing tour and we felt like it was a big waste of money. I would not recommend this tour or this tour company to anyone.
