Great dolphin watching cruise with a marvellous crew. Excellent commentary - saw at least 3 pods of dolphins. All guests were thanked personally for helping to keep the crew employed. It's important for us to keep these businesses afloat (pardon the pun!) Highly recommended.
Twenty-five years ago, we came with my daughter from Sydney to Jervis Bay on a whale watch tour. The weather was very unfriendly, cold, and windy, and not a single whale or dolphin or any sea mammals at all. It was a very disappointing trip. In the end, we got free tickets to a whale watch tour. I should have to bring them with me, just for fun. Now it was a much successful excursion. The sun was shining, and soon after we departed, a group of dolphins appeared, and they swam the honor circle around the ship. On the way back, they were there again, at the right time in the right place. Obviously, they knew their duty, and I guess the tour operators also knew if they want to ensure further undisturbed performance, they too must pay of their gratitude in the form of some fish. After all, the coffin of Christ was not guarded free of charge either.
Our group of ten enjoyed cruising with Dolphin Watch Cruises. A big tick to the staff on board who were conscious of our safety throughout our whale-watching cruise, and ensured they provided a great on-board experience for us all. They were Covid-friendly, and we were able to use our 'NSW Dine & Discover' vouchers - which was an added bonus. They also cleaned the on-board bathroom every time someone used it in order to remain Covid-safe. We were able to view whales swimming along the surface, blowing from their blowholes. Although the whales were focussed more on heading north than on us, the staff worked extra hard to enhance our cruise experience by detouring to a pod of playful dolphins - which was definitely a winner for everyone on board! While we were spotting whales out through the heads and up the coast, we also got to take in the most amazing giant sandstone cliffs starting from Point Perpendicular and heading north. Back inside the bay, the rock formations and turquoise water around the Point were really impressive (see photo). The staff cared about the marine life and the pristine surrounds of Jervis Bay. Our cruiser didn't use propellers - which ensured the marine life wasn't in danger of getting injured. Nice one! Also, the staff were able to answer all our questions. Their knowledge of Jervis Bay was very good. They walked around the boat pointing out this and that to us, so they were very engaging and friendly with everyone. Great work guys! I'd be happy to cruise with Dolphin Watch Cruises next time I'm holidaying at JB, and would highly recommend them to other visitors. A must for all ages!
My husband, son & I had a great adventure recently to see whales on a ‘dolphin watch cruise’ jet boat. The staff were very friendly & did their utmost to make our experience informative & enjoyable. We only saw whales from a distance but that just makes me want to go again in the future. I will definitely be recommending this company and experience to my family and friends. Big thanks to Russ, Richard & Pete for great outing & their friendly service.
Great experience on the busy Sunday of public holiday weekend We didn’t queue long and got tickets quickly, easily and covid-safely. Very professional and friendly team kids loved it!! Dolphins were busy fishing naturally - they are genuinely wild Thanks to Brendan and Kevin! We’ll return for the whale watching
We actually got to see dolphins😍 and not from afar, they were actually next to the boat, and right in front of the keel. We were able to see upwards of 40 dolphins. There was also plenty of viewing platforms to watch the dolphins from. It wasn't crowded and you had area inside if you wanted to escape the wind. The crew was great and would explain things about the surrounding area.
