This was a great activity to do before our flight back to Brisbane in the afternoon. Lovely views and commentary and skippering by Lynn and great hospitality and wine commentary by Gemma. It is great to see Launceston from the water and even more amazing to see everything from the plane when we flew off!
I try to get on the water wherever I visit, its a whole new perspective of the area. This did not disappoint. A lovely cruise up the Cateract Gorge to start (tide dependant), then down the Tamra past the wetlands, with a nice stop to stretch the legs at St Matthias’ Anglican Church grounds
Had a superb time cruising the Tamar River and Cataract Gorge. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and the scenery was incredible. The Captain was very knowledgable and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this Cruise during your Launceston Trip.
Beautiful experience. A must do for everyone visiting Launceston. Well- informed commentary by the captain of the cruise alongwith some lipsmacking morning tea. To top the exotic landscapes and the scenic cataract gorge sail was the wine tasting in the cruise ..!! Voila!!
Hard to imagine this could be any better. Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise, seeing Cataract Gorge by a new perspective, the Tamar River learning plenty as we cruised along. The commentary was informative and entertaining. You were free to move around. Downstairs we enjoyed morning tea and muffins, biscuits...yum. After fruit was brought out along with wines and beer to sample. This is more an adults cruise, the younger set were glued to their devices...but as an adult I loved it.
Relaxed with excellent chat from captain. Limitless tea coffee and cakes were a nice bonus. Saw parts of the area we would not have seen and learned a lot of history about the general area. On return leg the wine tasting was a nice bonus. Saw Sea Eagles as a second bonus.
Excellent 2.5 Hours afternoon run up the Tamar and Cataract Gorge with Callum absolute brilliant time with commentary from Callum with a wealth of historical and local knowledge afternoon Tea, Coffee Cakes & fresh fruit and wine / drink tasting this little cruise has the lot. Don't miss on the is one if in Launceston and got say hello to Callum for me.
The day was clear, but cool. The cruise moved through various land uses which looked inviting. Morning tea is included, with accompanying muffins, Christmas cake and fruit. Callum delivered an informative and often comical commentary. Very pleasant for the nomads.
