The incredible aerial view of Uluru is a must-see. On this flight we also take you across to the spectacular domes of Kata Tjuta for a view that will leave you speechless. Due to the sacredness of this area so much of it is off limits from the ground, so the only way to really appreciate these amazing formations is to see them from above. You will not be disappointed.

Pass By: Lake Amadeus, Petermann NT 0872, Australia

Fly over the remains of an ancient coral reef on the way to Lake Amadeus, before descending down to conduct a low level pass following the inlet into the lake. Your pilot will then conduct some orbits at low level to witness the incredible patterns on the surface of the lake and the beautiful colors that make this one of the most breathtaking views in the area. As you climb, take in the 112-miles (180-kilometers) of the lake before departing for Kings Canyon.

Pass By: Kings Canyon, Kings Canyon, Red Centre, Northern Territory

Enjoy the flight across the Australian outback and gain an appreciation of its vastness. Approach the George Gill Range and the opening of Kings Canyon lined with Ghost Gums. The pilot will point out the Lost City along the Canyon edge and the Garden of Eden waterhole located inside the canyon.

Your local pilot knows all about Uluru and its surroundings and will provide you with expert commentary, so please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Experience a view like no other!

Captain Chris was brilliant and his knowledge of the whole area was fabulous. The scenery was breathtaking and we would recommend the flight to everyone. We will definitely be back to do it again.

We did the two hr Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Lake Amadeaus as well as Kings Canyon. It was a great flight, weather was good to us, flight was smooth and no turbulance and we didn't get lost. Pilot was very freidly and knowedgeable with regard to the area. All went as planned from pickup to return to resort

We did a morning flight over Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Lake Amadeus & Kings Canyon. It was a fantastic trip. Travis was enthusiastic in all respects, knowledgeable about what we were looking at, able to answer all our questions and made the experience truly memorable. Everything went smoothly and as expected, and everyone went to a lot of effort to put us on a flight before we were due to leave Uluru after our booking the previous day was cancelled due to a dust storm.

Instead of being ripped off for a 20 minute scenic flight over Uluru, we decided to pay the extra and do a half day Scenic Flight which was much better value. It covered Uluru @ Sunrise, Kata Tjuta, Lake Amadeus, Kings Canyon from air and included a stop at Kings Creek so we could do the creek bed walk at King Canyon. I'm so glad we decided to do this, otherwise it would have taken a whole day to go to Kings Canyon and back via bus. About the operator: We were picked up, on time by our friendly pilot, he hadn't been working at Ayers rock for all that long but he was exceptionally knowledgeable, a great pilot(a must :P ) and overall just a really nice guy. If you plan on doing this tour (KCE), I would recommend taking your own water & snacks as Kings Creek Station is pricey and the options are limited. If you are thinking about doing this, I personally think sunrise is the best time. Overall, doing a tour by air, if you can afford it, provides a far different perspective on the area that you don't get from the ground, in particular the Kata Tjuta. From our initial enquiry to being returned to our hotel, we were very happy with the customer service provided by Ayers Rock Scenic Flights and a special thanks to our pilot Travis.
