Stop for lunch in one of WA's oldest country towns, the locals' cafe is full of country charm. Next, head off cross-country towards the ocean, driving through cattle and fruit farmlands. In Spring the fields are ablaze with colourful wildflowers

Stop At: Lancelin Sand Dunes, 13 Whitfield St Gingin Road, 102, Lancelin, Western Australia 6044 Australia

The huge white sand dunes of Lancelin offer far reaching majestic views and, if you're brave enough, plenty of laughs trying to stay on a custom made sand-board. Fantastic fun and highly recommended for all ages

Stop At: The Pinnacles, Pinnacles Drive Nambung National Park, Cervantes, Western Australia 6511 Australia

The highlight of your day is of course the Pinnacles Desert. Avoid the crowds, arrive late and create memories to last a lifetime. After a guided tour on foot you'll be driven deeper into the desert to absorb the magical atmosphere as shadows silently stretch across the golden sands and the huge sky turns to darkness revealing billions of stars. You'll have at least 2 hours in the desert including a picnic dinner Australia style. Youâ€™re welcome to bring your own star viewing equipment, this tour does not include celestial commentary.

We are a family of 5 (kids aged 13,11,8) and had the most amazing day with Neil. He was extremely well prepared and well informed. We started with a stop at an Aboriginal gallery, had lunch in an authentic village pub, had an absolute blast surfing the sand dunes (gorgeous), stopped en-route (by request) to check out the flora, and ended the day at the Pinnacles. What an alien landscape! Sunset was magic there, and then—after dinner—the stars! WOW! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. And to top it off, on the way back to the hotel Neil stopped in a small park inhabited by kangaroos. It was stunning to see a large group of kangaroos at night. If you are looking for a personalized tour, go no further. Our family will never forget this tour. Don’t miss it.

We went on the Pinnacles stargazing tour as a family of 5. Neil was our guide, and he was very well-prepared and knowledgeable. We enjoyed not only the sights and activities, but also learning interesting bits of Australian history and facts from Neil. What was great was also Neil’s attention to details to make the trip really comfortable - eg having sweets and biscuits in the car, water for all, even hot coffee and tea! Everything was very well-organised. Overall, a very memorable experience!

We are a group of 4 old schoolmates who took Neil's Pinnacles Day tour as part of our long overdue reunion. We had a private tour in a very well maintained and supplied van, which was very comfortable for the all day trip from Perth, through Swan Valley, Gingin, Lancelin and finally, the Pinnacles. We stopped along the way for shopping, lunch, ice cream, sandboarding, sunset watching and finally, dinner under the stars. An absolutely brilliant way to have spent a day laughing, chatting, reconnecting and reminiscing old times, . Our reunion was made so extra special because Neil took care of everything else from start to finish. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves to our fullest and we did, and now have created new memories we won't easily forget. And for that, I say a big thank you to Neil! And would highly recommend Neil's xotours to anyone who wants to experience the magic of Perth's iconic sunset and brilliant night skies @ the Pinnacles the way we did.

From first contact and fast response to pick up, tour content and friendliness, cant fault Neil at XO Tours at all. Enjoyed how Neil changed the schedule to suit our likes and was easy going about stopping in various places for photo opportunities. Loved the time we spent at the Pinnacles and photographing them at night is not to be missed. Something worth mentioning is the van you will take your tour in. Very comfortable individual leather seats, cup holders (with bottled water supplied), multiple USB charge points (bring your own charger), even the roo bar at the front (important in roo & emu areas) - you will feel like youre travelling safely in style. Thanks, Neil, for a great day. You provide a quality service to be proud of.

We had a great time with Neil on his full day Pinnacles tour! By the end of it, we couldn’t believe that we had done so much in a day because we were able to enjoy each activity without feeling rushed. Neil had everything very well-planned and even put in an extra stop at a vineyard at our request, so we could taste some local wines before we headed off to lunch. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed the sandboarding, and Neil kindly helped us take some pictures while we were at it. The Pinnacles desert was amazing to behold and Neil brought us to a perfect spot to watch the sunset and to stargaze after dark. We also learned a lot about aboriginal stories and the history of the surrounding area from Neil. All in all a great experience.

We had a fantastic tour, wonderfully guided by Neil. We reached the Pinnacles at the perfect hour to watch the sunset and then stayed for a leisurely star gazing session. It was magical. Highly recommended

Agree with all highlights mentioned in the reviews! Neil is one amazing guide in a thousand. You wont get any better personalised service than his. He was always warm and attentive, despite the long tiring drive and the relatively shy company he had to deal with ;p He volunteered useful and interesting info about Perth and his plan to reach each destination was well-timed. If there was one thing we could complain about, it would be the over-provision of food treats! We were very well-fed throughout the journey, thanks to him for the delicious strawberries, mandarins, lamingtons and cookies! :)

We booked a private tour with Neil for family with young children and elderly. Neil has been prompt in his response. We love the information and knowledge he shared with us and he totally took care of us (with all the refreshments and phone charging) and took a lot of beautiful photos of us during the trip. We had lots of fun at the sand dunes with our first sand boarding experience! Reaching Pinnacles before the sunset is really the best timing. There isn’t much crowd and you get to enjoy how the sky changes as the sun sets. The most amazing part is stars gazing during complete darkness and to see the Milky Way!

Neil, our tour guide, was exceptionally kind and my family could fully enjoy the trip. The best thing about this private tour is that it ensures FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE! No need to rush like hop-in-off tours, not crowded, you can fully enjoy every site you visit, and even choose the music while driving... And EVERYTHING EQUIPPED: including Drinking Water/Snacks/Fruits, Sunblock. Blankets, etc. Neil also takes LOTS OF PICTURES of your group / pickup and dropoff from/to your place FOR FREE The guide is Knowledgeable too, was fun to learn bout Australian culture, history and interesting facts about the places we were visiting.
