Day 2: Great Barrier Reef

Stop At: Great Barrier Reef, Cairns, Queensland Australia
Board a high-speed catamaran to cruise through sparkling turquoise waters to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Extending over 35 million hectares, itâ€™s the largest reef structure and marine park in the world and offers an experience like no other. View spectacular coral and tropical fish from the onboard underwater observatory and semi-submersible craft, or go snorkelling and experience this natural wonder up-close (equipment provided). Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before returning to Cairns.

Day 3: Kuranda Scenic Rail & Skyrail

Stop At: Kuranda, Kuranda, Queensland
On arrival at Freshwater Station, board the Kuranda Scenic Rail for an historical rail journey to Kuranda enjoying village. The Heritage Markets are full of colourful and interesting breathtaking views across the cane fields of Cairns, to the tropical rainforest of Kuranda. Wind through hand-hewn tunnels, across bridges and curves, all the time appreciating what an amazing engineering feat it is.

In Kuranda itâ€™s time to explore this fascinating arts and crafts.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Cairns, Cairns, Cairns Region, Queensland
Later, board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your 7.5km journey over and through World Heritage protected rainforest to Smithfield. Your 90-minute iconic rainforest experience showcases ancient rainforest and spectacular views with time at both Red Peak and Barron Falls Stations for education and interpretation.

We knew very little about aboriginal culture prior to our visit to Tjapukai. It was a revelation. We were thrilled that we had the opportunity to try things like spear- and boomerang-throwing and dance. The Great Barrier Reef was a once in a lifetime experience. We had a short snorkelling outing, then tried the scooba-doo and finished with the semi sub. Despite the world events happening around us and them, the tour operators did a great job showing us the wonders of Australia. Many thanks to Gail of the Scooba-doos!

The tour was perfect. Chose Hilton Cairns. Highly recommend this. Upgrade to water view. Well worth it. Eat at salt house on boardwalk. The great barrier reef was great, cultural center and kundra nice. Kundra very touristy but go see koalas and kangaroo. Information excellent. Recommend this.

The tour was great and definitely recommended. Particularly enjoyed blue mountain trip and harbor cruise. Great way to see Sydney in 2 days.

Lousy communication form the organising company mars an otherwise pleasant stay. They didn't leave any notes or reminders at the hotel about pick-up times or options on the cruise. I called them and didn't even bother to inform me about the $150 options on the cruise. Carrying no cash when I go snorkeling (who does), I couldn't do them. I'm the customer, I'm the one paying, I'm the one who must be informed about EVERYTHING. It's not up to me to go phoning God knows who to collect information. Don't bother with this tour on Viator. So yeah ZERO COMMUNICATION is what this company provides. On the last day, my plane was leaving at 12.00. So I was expecting them at around 11.00 knowing the airport was like 6-7 minutes from the Hilton. They showed up at 10.15. Pffff, ended up paying for the cab myself. Apart from the disastrous communication, the excursions were good. Those suffering from motion sickness, please keep in mind the trip to the barrier is long and the sea can get rough. Very nice crew onboard, good food. The rainforest was lovely, Daniel was a great guide, excellent BBQ in the forest too.

Het was helemaal naar wens, mooie boottocht en skirail tour!! Als je in Egypte geweest bent valt het koraal bij de Great Barrier reef erg tegen.
