The Wharf is a 30 minute scenic drive, south of Byron at Ballina. Please meet on the Lance Ferris Wharf directly in front of Wharf Bar & Restaurant, 12-24 Fawcett St, Ballina. Someone will come to collect you and take you down to the boat.

Our Cruise will stop at the volcanic rock cliffs of Lennox Head to take in the breathtaking scenery and listen to commentary.

Well run operation with high quality boat, on time departure/arrival, safety vests and information provided, experienced & knowledgeable crew (our guide was a marine biologist). We saw lots of dolphins, some pods were easily as large as 30-40 dolphins! Two hour cruise along the coast went by quickly, we had 2 young children in our party and they thoroughly enjoyed it! Would highly recommend.

What an amazing experience! It felt like everywhere we looked we saw a dolphin or a whale! Dolphins even swam with the boat for about 10 minutes, giving us amazing photo opportunities. This cruise was so much fun. The boat is huge, new, comfortable, safe and fast. Kid friendly too. We were lucky to have a marine biologist, Alice, on board and it was great to have such a knowledgeable person proving expert commentary on what we were seeing. Dean also expertly navigated us about the place, getting us close to the marine life and occasionally opening up the throttle for a bit of a joy ride. The tour length is just right. You definitely get your money’s worth. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Nice and educational trip on the coast of Ballina, Lenox Head and Byron Bay. Staff were very friendly. Just to be purist, length of the trip should be indicated. And if something is offered in the package, it should be provided so client know if they have to bring it. For example, water and sunscreen was meant to be supplied so I did not bring them with me on the trip.

My partner and I had the most amazing time! Was perfect balance of adventure and thrills mixed with lots of dolphin encounters and information about the marine wildlife and landscapes. Would highly recommend.

I came with a bunch of colleagues as a pre-Christmas get-together and it did not disappoint!! We had the loveliest day out on the water with you and we cannot thank the staff enough for their warm welcome, amazing marine knowledge, and friendliness towards our group. I have since recommended this trip to many family and friends in the area and people visiting from overseas. Thank you for looking after us so well - you guys rock!!!! Merry Christmas x

Yesterday our family group of four did the Byron Bay Dolphin Tour and Marine Park Cruise. The whole experience was amazing. Lots of dolphins. Great scenery. Informative commentary (Thanks Gabriella).Great boating (Thanks Dan too). Also, the home-cooked muffins were awesome. We were 3 hours on the water and had an unforgettable experience. Just do it. You won't regret it.

We did the cruise from Ballina to Cape Byron and Julian Rocks. Outstanding. 5 star service, safety and boat. Really cannot fault it. The marine biologist onboard had a wealth of knowledge of the local wildlife. We saw dolphins ( lots ) turtles and huge jellyfish. A really really worthwhile trip. We got so close to the shore we felt like we were surfing! Fabulous, thank you.

The tour was a great way to experience the North Coast's beautiful coast line from Ballina to Byron Bay! We saw sea birds, turtles and dolphins playing in the waves. Our guide gave us the aboriginal history of the area and was very knowledgeable. Did I mention the home made snacks were delicious!!! Thank you to Out of the Blue for a great time

Welcomed aboard by Dan (captain) and Gabriella (Marine Biologists). Weather and sea perfect. Tour up the coast to Byron Bay was very informative and we saw quite a few Dolfins. Morning tea was delight. Gabriella's commentary excellent and Dan's boating skills impressive, despite the swell we had a smooth ride. We look forward to doing a Whale watching trip next year.

As recent arrivals in the Northern Rivers area, we have been exploring the coast and hinterland as resident tourists. In addition to the interesting wildlife sightings, it was very informative to see the famous beaches and headlands from the sea. The trip itself was very professionally managed and all aboard enjoyed themselves immensely.
