Situated on the banks of the Irwin River in Dongara, Russ Cottage provides an opportunity to appreciate the unique lifestyles of the early settlers in the 1860s. Furnished in the style of the early farming families, the cottage has been beautifully restored. Take a stroll around the beautifully manicured gardens and enjoy the scenery. The cottage forms part of the Dongara Heritage Trail, which incorporates a number of buildings of historic importance. Collect a copy of the trail map from the Old Police Station which has been converted into the town's tourist centre. The trail also includes a visit to the Priory Lodge and the Royal Steam Flour Mill.
